[EmData] XData with Quark - PCL or Postscript commands

Hi, does anyone have experience using Postscript or PCL commands from
within Quark Xpress to issue printer controls?

For example, using XData on a Mac. Would like printer controls such as
dynamically switching the printer tray for different pages.

We anticipate this might be possible, if we can escape and send PCL
commands directly to the printer, such as:

[Esc]&l#H (where [Esc] is the escape character, l is a lower-case
"L", and # is the code designating the printer tray)

or Postscript commands such as:

<</MediaPosition #>> setpagedevice (where # is the code designating the
printer tray).

Please let us know if possible, and if so, any tips on syntax (such as
creating the Escape character). Thanks! Dave
