[EmData] Page beginnings with flow

Hi Stuart,

I've used the XData Header Emma and Joe are talking about quite
successfully in 4 almost 1000 page catalogs. If you are looking for
Headers that will change as your data goes along, that is the way to go.

I'm worried about sounding stupid here, but the "instead of the
continued price list" has me wondering if you are talking about column
headings for the list (Description, Price, etc) that would be the same
on each page? When I do long lists of columns, I put the column headers
in separate text boxes on the master pages and then run my data into the
automatic text boxes placed right below them. That way the column heads
show up on each page and you can just let the data pour in.

Cindy

Have you read chapter 9 of the manual? ('Controlling Document Layout').
I haven't used it myself (in my experience items end up being added or
taken out at the last minute and even gets knocked out of place), but I
think that is what you are describing.

BTW, you don't need an <else> before <endif> - might save you a few
keystrokes!

Hi,

Each year, we produce a price list of some 20,000 items using xData, and
each year, we have re-formatted the output to correct the top of the
page with the current heading instead of the continued price list. Is
there a way of telling xData to re-apply the last heading to the top of
each page?
