[EmData] Smart Quotes

I have an issue with importing data for barcodes which should import as
straight quote / apostrophe (unicodes 2019 and 0027)
The data is however importing through XData and Quark 7.5 as "curly"
quote and apostrophe (201D and 2019)
I have tried both enabling and disabling Smart Quotes through Quark but
this doesn't work.
Any ideas?
