I converted with Q2ID plug-in an XPress document to Indesign. In my XData/Indata prototype, some variables count rows and/or records. The masterpage changes according to the value of the variables. The masterpage is often change after the records were "loaded" on the page. With XPress, no problem. With Indesign, it's horrific ! The "set masterpage" does what I expect except that it adds new empty blocks instead of change the one which are full ! I search for days how I could correct it but I don't find anything. I hope my question to be clear enough. I'm really desesperate ! Best regards, -- Magalie Jeune - mjeune@lyje.fr === Soci?t? We've made some fixes to master page handling. http://www.emsoftware.com/products/indata/download/ Also, have a look at your master pages to see if they were converted correctly. Quark's automatic text boxes work differently than InDesign's Master Text Frames, and InFlow complicates things. So, it could well be that Q2ID did not quite get things right. So, be sure that you have the correct frames on your masters, and that they are thread as you would expect. Also, be sure that the Autoflow thread is set for the first text frame on your master pages (select the frame, and use the set/clear autoflow thread menu command in the Object menu). Does this help?
