Message-ID: Hi - we're seeing an error message like, "this prototype is too large for the available memory". Anything we can do? Are there any hard limits to avoid? We recognize that our prototype is large (and confidential), but it worked fine in OS 9. We're running this on a new Mac in OS X with 2 GB of RAM. Thanks in advance for any useful suggestions. In-Reply-To: Message-ID: Hi David, Is this really the text of the error message? I can?t imagine a prototype being that large. More likely, either your template/prototype are corrupted, or, your Xdata preferences did not convert correctly. Look under Xdata>>Preferences>>General, and check the size of the memory allotted per variable. The default is 2K; often,, this needs to be increased, especially if you are reading lots of data into large arrays. Check the setting on your OS9 system, and then adjust the setting on your OSX system to match. If neither of these is the case, could you send us a screen shot of the error? If you do need to send us your document/prorotype (please send data as well, and zip all files before sending), we will treat them with confidentiality. Be sure to send them to support@emsoftware.com only, and not to data-users.
