«put unstyled quoted text» worked, but bullets (option 8 on a Mac) were substituted with quotes, which was rather more than I was expecting! <BR>

All I wanted was for ‘straight quotes’ (feet and inches marks) to convert to ‘curly quotes’, which they do. But why the bullets?<BR>
